Orkit – Your Digital Ally

Your Digital Ally for a Life that Works

I’m Kate, the creator and author behind this blog. I’m a corporate lawyer by profession but a creator at heart. After years of navigating the fast-paced jungle that is today’s corporate culture, I feel the pull to channel my creativity into something more personal and practical: designing beautiful, thoughtful digital products that help people stay organized, work efficiently and simplify their lives.

My background in law has trained me to think strategically, plan meticulously, and simplify complexity — skills I now bring into the digital space. From trip and daily planners, to checklists, house organization, menus and legacy kits, every product I create is built with intention: to bring clarity, peace of mind, and a touch of elegance to your days.

Along the way, I’ll share tips and tricks, and hacks and facts around four areas that are pillars in my life: work, home, travel and family. This space is where structure meets creativity — and where I get to share tools that I hope will make your life just a little bit easier..

  • Plan Your Meals & Grocery List with Ease (Free Planner Included)

A brand new week is around the corner—and if you’re like most of us, you’re juggling a lot. Between work, family, errands, and everything in between, the daily question of “What’s for dinner?” can add unnecessary stress.

One of the best ways I’ve found to reclaim time, reduce weekday chaos, and make healthier choices is simple: meal planning. With just a few minutes of prep each week, you can save hours of decision fatigue, last-minute store runs, and impulse takeout.

I’ve created an 8-week rotating meal plan with ChatGPT (more on how I do that in an upcoming blog post), but you don’t need a full menu right away to get started. Sometimes, just planning one week at a time can make all the difference.

  • Why I’m Designing Digital Tools to Help You Organize Your Life

If you had told me a few years ago that I’d one day be designing digital planners, checklists, and life organization tools, I probably would’ve smiled politely and gone back to legal opinions.

As a corporate lawyer, planning has always been second nature to me — calendars, deadlines, filings, board meetings — structure is essential. But outside of legal frameworks, I’ve always been the kind of person who lives by her planner. I write everything down. I color-code. I create checklists for everything from work goals to weekend grocery runs. Organization gives me peace of mind — not just in my profession, but in everyday life.

Over time, I realized I was looking for something more — a creative outlet that still spoke to my love of structure, order, and intention. I wanted to build something useful. Something beautiful. Something that could help others feel less overwhelmed and more in control of their time, space, and priorities.
